Tuesday, July 7

Tour A:

On this tour you will take a small ferry out to an island in the Limfjord

Here we visit the Fossil and Moler Museum

The museum contains an impressive collection of fossilized fish, birds, insects and tree trunks – and among the highlights you will find the world’s oldest butterfly, the world’s first songbird and Luffe, the famous fossil turtle. It will also be possible to try to find fossils yourself.

We will also visit the Morsø Tractor Museum.

The exhibition includes more than 150 tractors; single-axle, two-axle and tracked tractors. These are distributed over approximately 100 different brands and among them very rare vehicles. There are also all Danish-made and all from before 1960 https://traktormuseum.net/

A typical Danish lunch is served along the way in the clubhouse at “MORSØ MC”.

The participants drive their own vehicle and the price of 60 Euro includes a ticket to the Ferry, a ticket to the museums and lunch at Morsø mc. Length about 150 km.

Tour B: Fårup Sommerland

The tour goes to the Fårup Sommerland amusement park, which has been voted Europe’s best park and best roller coaster in 2022.

The fantastic amusement park is located in beautiful North Jutland. Here there is plenty of opportunity to create fantastic memories for the whole family. We have rides that will give you a feeling of hunger and a smile from ear to ear. With a large water park (remember your swimsuit)

In the middle of the day there is lunch at a restaurant with a large pizza and pasta buffet incl. free soda

The participants drive their own motorbike and the price of 80 Euro covers admission to the park and lunch buffet. Length about 80 km.

Tour C: Forest tour

The tour goes to several small, very special places for the area, we visit Thorup beach which is known as Northern Europe’s largest active coastal landing site, where fishing boats are pulled directly onto the beach. A visit to Bulbjerg, a striking 47-meter-high limestone cliff that rises majestically towards the North Sea. It is known as “Jutland’s only bird cliff”. Hjardemål Klit church One of Denmark’s smallest folk churches.

We will go on a guided tour around Frøstruplejren. also known as Thylejren is an alternative community and sanctuary. The camp was established in the summer of 1970 as part of the youth rebellion and hippie culture. Also called Denmark’s “Woodstock”.

Along the way we visit a traditional Danish clubhouse at “Mjølner MC”, where we are served lunch.

Participants drive their own vehicle, and the price of 30 Euro includes visit and guide in Thylejren and visit and lunch at Mjølner MC. Length about 100 km.

Wednesday, July 8

Tour D: Cold War Museum REGAN Vest

On this tour you will get a guided tour of the bunker REGAN Vest, which is hidden 60 meters under a chalk hill and was built in complete secrecy in the 1960s with the purpose of housing the government, civil servants and the sitting regent in the event of a nuclear war.

The bunker is untouched – fully furnished with all original interior intact. At the top of the hill, the audience can walk along paths above the bunker complex and in this way get a sense of the size of the facility.

Along the way we visit a traditional Danish clubhouse, at “Bulls MC”, where we are served lunch.

Participants ride their own MC and the price of 70 Euro includes access and a tour of the bunker as well as lunch at Bulls MC. Length about 150 km.

Tour E: Thy National Park

The tour goes to Hanstholm, which is one of Denmark’s largest fishing ports and the youngest, built in 1967 on the edge between the North Sea and the Skagerrak.

Over the harbor there is a view that gives the opportunity to see the curvature of the earth.

The tour continues south through Thy National Park and past Denmark’s largest wildlife reserve.

At Klitmøller there is a famous place for Wind Surfing – Cold Hawaii – which is very popular in the Surfing World.

In Vorupør there is a visitor center for Thy National Park and the town still has fishing boats that are pulled up on the beach. From here the tour continues inland, where the landscape changes from the wild nature by the sea to agricultural land that has been inhabited for several thousand years.

In Thisted lunch is served at “MC Stompers” in their clubhouse. The club is among the oldest in Denmark.

The tour then takes small roads with a stop at Northern Europe’s largest bird sanctuary.

Participants drive their own vehicle and the price of 30 Euro covers all visits and lunch at MC Stompers. Length about 150 km.

Tour F: Beach trip

Northern Denmark is known for the rough North Sea and the beautiful beaches, so we are going on a real beach trip there.

We visit a boat builder whose workshop is located out on the beach. He builds and restores the old clinker-built fishing boats that are towed up to the beach, the tradition of clinker-built boats is inscribed on UNESCO’s list of living cultural heritage.

The trip continues to Rødhus beach, where we drive down to the beach, park and stay long enough to have the opportunity to get out into the waves. (Remember your swimsuit and towel)

From Rødhus to Blokhus, (if you dare) we drive on the beach 6.5 km. Those who do not want to this, drive by road. But everyone comes to “Misery Bay MC”, where lunch is served in their clubhouse.

Thursday, July 9

Main Excursion

The trip goes to Hanstholm to the Bunker Museum. Where you can Northern Europe’s largest fortification from World War II. See the big guns and explore the bunker.

The trip also includes a visit to a Test Center for Offshore Wind Turbines, where you can get up close to the world’s largest wind turbines, which are being tested here.

The participants are divided into two teams, which go first to either one or the other location, but lunch for everyone is served in Hanstholm.

The participants drive their own vehicle and the tour is with guides and marshals the whole way. Length about 120 km.
